Nerd Ferguson Fantastic album and they're only in High School. My biggest accomplishment in HS was making Easy Mac. If they keep making catchy-as-frick tunes I'll keep making Easy Mac. Favorite track: Overcast.

about

"Who's Gonna Be There?" Is Simple Minded Symphony's first full album. Recorded when the majority of the band were Juniors in high school, this labor of love was in the making since the band first decided to try its hand at transitioning from a cover band to a real band (for lack of a better way of putting it).
The title of the album is the title of the previously unrecorded first song of SMS, written in honor of band members Patrick Maxwell and Jason Kincy moving away at the end of their Freshman year of high school. It seemed an apt name for a burgeoning group's debut album, as the following years leading up to its eventual completion were filled with a fair amount of uncertainty.
Nevertheless, the Simple Minded Symphony was able to construct a collection that succeeds in demonstrating the variety of influences that the band's members draw inspiration from, which in turn is reflected in the 10 unique tracks--taking you from hints of Dixieland and Metal, to Reggae, to classic ska.

We'd like to extend our most sincere thanks to the following people:

Click Music of Oak Harbor, Washington for supporting our band in the earliest days of its inception, and for continuing to do so.

Binary Recording Studios for allowing us to take over for two whole days. Specifically Andy Rick for being such an easy and knowledgeable engineer to work with.

Oak Harbor High School for allowing us to play at so many school events and competitions

Oak Harbor Middle School for giving us our first big break--a talent show victory.

And of course, all of our friends and family that continue to support us with gas money, food money, and garages to rehearse in. It truly wouldn't be possible without them.
