Look around, take it in; everything you’ve done has led you up to this, this infinite abyss. It’s what you’ve wanted all this time, ever since you’ve been alive if you are still anyway, you see, I never ask if you’re okay. It looks like choppy waters up ahead. I really hope that you have read those books you’ve been assigned, blank pages like your empty mind. It may seem much too open-ended, identity crisis, splitting headache. Can’t lie down, you’ll stay awake, no getting away. This is what you chose, oh no, I know yes this is what you chose, oh no, I know I couldn’t help but notice that you’ve stopped trying and all you ever say is you’d rather be dying but I know, and you know, that you’re meant for much better than choosing the path of the least resistance when all that ever does is add up the distance between you and your one and only goal. Now go, and fight, and stop relying on people and substances, they’re only ever lying telling you that you will be okay. As long as you keep your head up high and your eyes focused on the horizon, nothing will ever slow you down [slow you down] but how can they know what’s holding you back? What manifests itself into the doubt that prays on your consistent underachieving? ‘Cause at the end of another unproductive day the only person that really has a say in how to push on is you. But this is what you chose, oh no, I know yes this is what you chose, oh no, I know what’s left for you to do that’ll get you out of here? At the very least, something that’ll get you near any other place that isn’t here. You don’t know what’s outside this town, what else out there could bring you down? But have you yet considered that there’s nothing really stopping you? ‘Cause no one will ever know what each different road will lead them to in the end. You’ve just got to go carve a path of your own ‘cause no one’s gonna go and do it for you.
